Every veteran has answered the call to serve — often sacrificing life, health, and peace of mind to protect our freedoms. But when their service ends, too many find themselves facing legal battles they’re unprepared for, with little to no financial resources to defend themselves.
Whether it’s a custody dispute, a wrongful eviction, a denied VA benefit, or a criminal charge stemming from trauma-related struggles, justice often comes with a price tag — one many veterans simply can’t afford.
That’s where the Charlie Mike Freedom Fund (CMFF) comes in.
The Problem
Veterans are disproportionately represented in the justice system.
Struggles with PTSD, substance abuse, homelessness, and job instability often lead to legal trouble.
Many veterans live paycheck to paycheck.
A costly legal issue can threaten their housing, employment, or even their freedom.
Access to fair legal representation shouldn’t depend on your bank account.
But for too many veterans, it does.
Our Purpose
“Charlie Mike” is military shorthand for “Continue Mission.”
We believe that supporting our veterans doesn’t stop when their service ends. When they’re fighting for their rights in court, they deserve backup.
CMFF provides financial aid to cover legal fees for veterans in need — ensuring they are seen, heard, and fairly represented. We remove the financial barrier that stands between them and justice, helping them continue their mission of building a better life.
Why It Matters
Because no veteran should feel alone in a courtroom.
Because defending freedom means defending the people who fought for it.
Because “Thank you for your service” should come with action, not just words.
